SECOND SUNDAY IN APRIL

Second Sunday has become a marvelous tradition each month in Charleston for folks to enjoy the shops and restaurants on a "traffic free" King Street.

It is also a high honor when The Hat Ladies are asked by Susan and Greg of Kingstreet Marketing Group, to stroll amidst the crowds, do a little shopping, and add a little elegance along with seasonal cheer.  Susan wrote: "I love this annual event! Thank you so much for making it special with your hat sisters.  You have our utmost gratitude for your role in making 2nd Sunday—and King Street-- special.

On this day we were foreshadowing our annual Easter Promenade, to be held the following Saturday down Broad Street. What a "Hattastic Time we had!

We gather on the windiest corner in town: Marion Square, corner of King and Calhoun Streets

The weather Gods smiled on us.  Despite the breeze, we had very nice weather

A fun loving crowd would cheer us all along our way

"We could see from the crowd response we on King Street, everyone loves The Hat Ladies."

First Stop:  The Shop of Jordan Lash and his brother, Daniel

...a local store of fine men's clothing that carries the pride of the owner's name

Our traditional group photo outside Jordan Lash, with Jordan and Daniel posing with us outside their Store

We're having so much fun, children dressed in the Easter spirit wanted to be in our picture

Last stop:  Spartina, a shop with accessories and clothing for women.

What a delightful way to end our stroll, with a glass of blue bubbly

Unfortunately some of us had to dash off to docent for Historic Charleston Foundation's Tour of Homes & Gardens.  But we SHALL return...gift card in hand

THANK YOU King Street Marketing Group!
