How nice to find a Street named after me |
The entrance to the Holocaust Museum |
John in the gardens surrounding the Museum |
A visit to the section of town called, "Christiansan" |
There are steps within the Church, then steps outside the Church around the steeple |
It will be the first of many we will climb |
Look closely and you will see the spot where Archie stopped, then John |
|
Looking straight down |
|
Looking all around |
|
Obviously worth the effort |
Lunch at an idyllic restaurant only known to locals |
A short walk brings us to another Tower. This one was used by some King as an event facility. |
It has a winding floor for us to climb, since carriages used to ride to the top. |
We get to play in nooks on the way up |
Once again, the views make our efforts worthwhile |
|
Another view of the way down |
Strøget Street: a
car free shopping area in the center of the Old City. At 1.1.km., it
is one of the longest pedestrian shopping streets in
Europe.
Created in 1962 it marked the beginning of a greater emphasis on people
and bicycles.

This approach has in turn become internationally influential. Second Sunday anyone??? The people in this photo are literally "dancing in the street"
|
Some delightful street entertainment |

At long last, we join Joan and Jeff at Tivoli Gardens! |
But not before John has a ride... |
That's him, climbing to the top |
That's him, hanging upside down |
That's Archie...doing what she likes doing most |
That's Archie, checking to see if they still have the best ice cream in the world... |
