HANDLING YOUR HAT

• Never pick up a hat unless your hands are clean.  When you do, pick it up by placing one hand on the back of the hat brim and the other on the front. 

• Never pick up a hat by the crown.  Doing so crushes the crown and can cause it to become misshapen.

• Never wear your hat unprotected in inclement weather -- particularly straws and sinemay.
