WEARING HATS AND EATING ANCHOVIES

Believe it or not, wearing hats and eating anchovies have something in common: people are not neutral about doing them. Women and girls, men and boys either love how they look in a hat or they don't. People either love eating anchovies or they don't. In either case, no one should be talked into doing something tHAT is not their taste. The nice thing about hats, however, is that people can and do admire them on others (without questioning YOUR good taste)!

However, if you're a hat-wearing "wannabee," there is hope! I used to accept the statement "hats just don't look good on me." Not anymore. After years of being laughed at by our children (and I must confess, by me, too), my husband DID find a hat he looked good in...darn good, in fact. If it can hatpen for him, it CAN hatpen for anyone willing to persevere. Keep on trying...and trying 'em on.
