Churches are plentiful.  Look closely and note the bicycles in front of it.

Thanks to hatsister, Inge, who is FROM the Netherlands, we knew about this fabulous Museum.  It is likely a sweetgrass purse will soon grace their shelves...

The first of The Hat Ladies' t-shirts "on the go"

When in Amsterdam, do as..........

The lines to get into the Anne Frank house stretch around and around the block.  Fortunately we purchased our tickets on line and walked right in.

This car was parked near the Anne Frank house. These are the buildings directly across from it, separated by one of the dozens (hundreds?) of canals.

The Anne Frank House.  No photos were allowed inside. One particularly poignant quote from her Diary: She is thanking God for her talent to write.  "I don't want to have lived in vain like most people.  I want to be useful or bring enjoyment to all people, even those I've never met.  I want to go on living even after my death.".......

This former Palace is now a shopping mall!

Can't get enough of these boat rides!

Even fine dining has to wait!

These homes and businesses are in the Nyhaven area (which means "New Harbor")

Some of these boats are expensive houseboats

Looks suspiciously like our Rainbow Row

The crowds are gathering along the banks of Nyhaven for the Sankt Hans Aften on June 23rd, a celebration of the summer solstice.

Nestled within the greenery is a straw witch. The entire platform will be doused with gasoline and set ablaze as a tribute to the tradition of burning live witches in bon fires.

Archie tries to catch a few winks before the excitement begins

As with many things in Copenhagen, this traditional bonfire has come to be centered on drinking as crowds gather at various points around the City for bon fires and beer.
